Recently Sammy Hagar helped bring the Blessings In A Backpack charity to St. Louis to help feed area schoolchildren and this weekend KSHE 95 and Schnucks Markets need your help to adopt a new school for a year.
This Saturday and Sunday KSHE will be at 4 area Schnucks locations with a limited number of raffle tickets for some great prizes including something very special from Sammy and Chickenfoot. It only takes $80 to feed a child for a year through the program and the raffle tickets are only $50 each. By taking a chance on a great prize you'll help a great cause and together we can adopt an entire school for a whole year!

About Blessings in a Backpack
Blessings in a Backpack is a unique program designed to feed children grades K-5 enrolled in the St. Louis City public schools who qualify for the Federal Free and Reduced Meal Program and may not have any or enough food on the weekends. Better test scores, improved reading skills, positive behavior, improved health and increased attendance have all been attributed to the success of this program.
Every Friday, students receive their backpacks with food that requires little to no preparation. They return with their backpacks on Monday ready to learn.
Blessings in a Backpack is currently feeding over 2,000 children in the St. Louis area.
Recently, KSHE artist Sammy Hagar made a significant cash contribution to Blessings in a Backpack - helping to sustain operations here in St. Louis.
